Morning has broken on Lake Granbury in Texas.

Here are some more photographs that I've made in the last month.

It's been a while since I posted any photographs, but yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph the space shuttle Discovery as it departed Fort Worth for Cape Kennedy. It was an awesome sight and I wanted to share it with you. As you can see there were others there waiting for it to take off. Traffic came to a halt along the highway to witness the departure.

The gulls have returned which means colder weather can't be far behind. The boganvillia seems to be unaware that summer is over and is still in full bloom.

Haven't been shooting much lately but here's a few I took this week.

Well here I am. It's been a while since I've posted on my blog. Computer problems prevented my posting. Hopefully this will get to you. I'm using our laptop so I'm crossing my fingers. Hope you enjoy the photos. The photo of the sneakers won an Honorable Mention at the LGAA Photography Group. The theme for the month was transportation. Since I was not able to get out and about shoes seemed to be a novel way of showing a different form of transportation.

You can't keep a good man down

most of you know that my husband Lee has been in ill health for some time, which limits me to taking pictures in my back yard. To day was a good day for Lee and on his list of things he has wanted to do is to repair the birdfeeder in the back yard. You may have noticed it in some of the pictures I've posted. Well today the weather was beautiful so he talked me into bringing his jigsaw out to the patio where he could do some work on the birdfeeder. As you can see he was really into the project although at times he did need to rest a minute. Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be about the same so he should be able to do a little more work on his project. If he goes he's going out on a high note cause you can't keep a good man down.

We awoke to another beautiful sunrise this morning. This is such a beautiful time of the year in Texas. While we don't have the beautiful fall colors of the east coast we do have beautiful blue skys, no humidity and cool temperatures and as you can see beautiful sunflowers.

From morning till night on Lake Granbury

This morning I awoke to a beautiful sunrise, had breakfast with diamonds in my back yard and the full moon on the lake put me to bed tonight. Not a bad way to spend the day.
