I went out to take some more pictures of my pink cactus because I liked the design on the top of the cactus. While there I looked in another one of my planters and noticed a fungus in the soil. I did some investigating and identified it as Bird Nest Fungi. I had never seen anything like it before. The photo of the little round brown and white buds are pre the birds nest. The dark colored cups are the birds nest. You can see the little eggs inside the cups.

These were taken in Annapolis at the home of a cousin. I love the one of the morning sun illuminating the trees.

These were taken to day. As you can see the cactus are in full bloom as are the day lilies.

Well, it's been over a week since I've posted anything. I've been away and just returned yesterday. The photos I'm posting are a mixture of photos I've taken this past week. The first posting is of my husbands service at Arlington National Cemetery. It was a beautiful service and one I know he would have been proud of. The other postings will be of the flowers and landscapes I took while traveling.
