Sunrise on Lake Granbury

Just had to put this one on. I almost missed this. As I was watching TV this morning I happened to look up and saw the reflection of the sun on my living room window. It was just to beautiful to pass up. So, I ran and got my camera and ran out in my nightgown to capture the moment, because if you wait it will never be the same as at that moment. Hope the neighbors weren't watching.

About a week ago I ordered a Circular Polarizer Filter and it arrived today. I've been having a lot of fun with it came in the mail. I took this picture using the RAW setting on my camera. It was taken through my living room window. I love the way it turned out. Each day I learn something new.

Here's my mother's day bouquet from my daughter Pam. They were just to pretty to resist.

This morning on Lake Granbury

The sun hitting the lake this morning made it look like diamonds shimmering in the light. I managed to catch a duck in flight. They have usually flown by the time I get my camera set. This morning one of them waited around till I had my camera ready. Guess he liked to have his picture taken.

Flowers, flowers and more flowers

I'm beginning to think I should have named this blogs Flowers, flowers and more flowers. At this time of the year there is an abundance of beautiful flowers. I've been practacing with depth of field today and have had some luck after making a bunch of mistakes, like forgetting to use the auto focus and leaving my flash card in the computer when I ran out side to take a few pictures. It's been a bit over cast today, but I managed to get a few good shots of a rose, daylilies and a double impatient flower.
