Well summer has arrived and it was a beautiful day. Lots of traffic on the lake. It was cool enough this evening to sit out on the patio and enjoy the light breeze. A perfect ending for the first day of summer.

Busy Weekend on the lake
Lot's of jet ski traffic on the lake this evening as well as a lot of boat traffic. The summer got off to a fine start. The weekenders, young and old, have been out enjoying the beautiful summer weather.

Third Place
Attended the LGAA meeting for photographers this evening and my picture took third place in the open catagory. When they critiqued it, they did not like the water line being right in the center of the picture.
Rock Dove
I am told this is a this is a Rock Dove which is the name for a pigeon in Audubon's book on Birds of North America. I must say I have never seen one of this color before. In Audubon's book it mentions that pigeon are the typcal gray that we are accustomed to seeing, but they can also be white, rust colored or black. I took this to day in a Sam's Club Parking lot. It really caught my eye. There were several black one's there as well. I think there was some kind of courtship in progress because of the fluffy wings and one black pigeon was trying to keep the others away.
