Spring has made it to North Texas. The bluebonnets are just beginning to bloom.

Yesterday I spent the day at he Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. It is spring break for the schools here in Texas, so Pamela and her children went with me. It was a beautiful day so there were alot of people out taking advantage of the summer like weather. Naturally I took a few pictures, I had a hard time trying to figure out how to use my fancy new camera and I also had the wrong lens with me. The pictures aren't great but wanted to share them anyway. The picture of the water with the spot in the middle is of a turtle who came up to eat some crackers. The turtle is the spot in the middle. Even though you can't tell what it is, I liked the pattern of the tree branches reflecting in the pond.

One of the nice things about living on the lake is you can alway run out and take pictures of the gulls. It was a little overcast today so the sky color is sort of blah. I thought the gulls turned out pretty good though. I'll keep trying until I get it right. One is a bit blurry, but I liked it anyway.
