Well darn the pictures didn't up load, so I'll give it another try.
These pictures were takean at The Pate Museum, our local transportation museum. Saddly the museum will close for good on the 31st. Many of the exhibits have already been removed. It had an excellent collection of old cars. I stopped by a week ago to take a few pictures.

More from Jean. The sunrise was taken this morning and the ducks on the lake are in the snow. Don't know if the snow will show up or not.

A Texas winter.

It snowed in Texas on Christmas Eve and is snowing again today. We had a pretty good snow on Christmas Eve, but today it's just snow. It's not sticking because it is above freezing and so it's melting when it hits the ground. It's still pretty to watch. I'm throwing in a few pictures that I've taken recently.

Sunset on Lake Granbury

Sunrise on Lake Granbury

You will be able to tell from these pictures why I love living on the lake. The first two pictures were taken around 7:30 this morning and the second were taken at 7:00 this evening.

A friend called this morning to tell me about the unusual mushrooms growing on some logs behind where she lives. naturally I had to go take a look and naturally I had my camera with me. The mushrooms are okay, but I love the picture of her dog Pearl, trying to get out of the fenced area. She wasn't quite small enough to get through the lattice work, but she tried. While I was there a humming bird just happened to come by and I was able to get a fairly good shot of it.

Tonight was the meeting of the Lake Granbury Art Association's Photography Club. Our assignment for this months meeting was creative photography. Here are my entry's for the night. The one of the water drops won a first place blue ribbon. The other is of one of the dulcimers my husband made some years ago. We sold them under the name of Wood Vibrations, makers of the Wild Flower Dulcimer. I think it should have won a ribbon too. But then I predjudice.

Every day I learn something new about Photoshop Elements. One of these days when my ship comes in I'm going to get the full blown edition of Photoshop, but for now I'll just have fun with elements. Here are a few of the new tricks I learned yesterday.

Here are some fun ones

As you may have heard or experienced, we've had a lot of rain in Texas. As a result we have had an unsual display of mushrooms. I captured some photos of them this morning. These appeared overnight and when my friend saw them she called me knowing how I LOVE to take pictures.

For the last few days, I've been learning new techniques using Photoshop Elements 7. What fun to combine three of my favorite things, my computer, photography and graphic arts. Here are some examples of my attempt at sketching with the computer and Photoshop Elements 7.
